Mandurah hit and run accused Brittany Bramble in court

The teenage girl accused of hitting a Mandurah man with her car and leaving him for dead on Christmas Day has been granted bail.

Brittany Lee Bramble, 18, appeared in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday over the hit and run that left Paul Tsagaris with severe injuries including brain damage.

Mr Tsagaris was found lying face down and unconscious on Mandurah Road in Dudley Park by passersby.

His family say the 41 year-old was left in an induced coma, suffering severe bleeding on the brain that required life-saving surgery where part of his skull was removed.

Mr Tsagaris’ twin Kelly says the family are just grateful he is still alive.

“We will probably never have the same brother that we had before,” Ms Tsagaris told 7NEWS.

“(We want) justice and answers to what happened, what really happened that day.”

Mandurah detectives say Ms Bramble turned herself in to police almost a month after an appeal for information went out.

It will be alleged the P-plater left Mr Tsagaris bleeding from horrific head injuries.

Even though doctors performed an emergency craniotomy on Mr Tsagaris, he will need more major surgery to fix his skull and ongoing rehabilitation.

Ms Bramble remains out on bail to reappear in court again next month.
