Singer and actor Kevin McHale has just blessed us with his brand new song and video for ‘James Dean’.
‘James Dean’ is the second song off McHale’s upcoming EP titled ‘Boy’. The 30-year-old former Glee star released his debut single ‘Help Me Now’ in March. On Instagram, McHale shared his excitement about ‘James Dean’ and revealed that the new song is his favourite from ‘Boy’.
In an interview with HuffPost, the artist shared his and the director’s, Justin Thorne, vision for the music video, which features Pose actor Johnny Sibilly. “We wanted a shower, we wanted it to feel a little editorial, we wanted it super simple, but we didn’t exactly know how it’d all come together,” he said. “We had a loose idea of what we wanted, and luckily Johnny is a beautiful saint and was down to just try it all out.”
In honour of June being Pride month, Kevin McHale is donating all proceeds from this month’s sales of “James Dean” to The Trevor Project, a leading organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.
